Inconnect develops off-shore manufacturing capability
For many years UK OEM’s have faced a difficult choice, pay over the odds for a high quality cable harness product made by a UK manufacturer, or go direct to the Far east and get a lower cost product but face uncertainty about the service and quality levels they will experience. read full story >>>

Inconnect's moulding facilities cover a wide range of materials and moulding techniques. Mould tooling is produced to meet individual performance specifications and reflect the aesthetic requirements of personalised design and branding can also be included where desired. We also offer product design and development support in partnership with customers individual requirements.
We offer four different moulding options to suit the individual requirements of our customers:
Over-molding
Over-moulding is the process of injection moulding plastic in and around another component to fully or partially encapsulate it. Inconnect currently provides its customers with a wide range of over-moulding options including using over-moulding to form cable grommets, provide rugged and tamperproof replacements to connector back shells and cover ferrites applied to the cable exterior. Inconnect is also now able to offer PCB Cable Assemblies over-moulded into or as part of a cable loom or dongle, which offers a reliable, secure, aesthetically pleasing, and cost effective solution.
Low Pressure Moulding
Inconnect work with Macromelt to provide a service that is suitable for many different applications as the material grips to PVC, sealing and anchoring cables and bonding with clean steel, solders and other metals. When cool this material is tough retaining slight flexibility and below 0° becomes rigid.
All items produced by Inconnect are fully tested and inspected by our dedicated QA department to ensure reliability levels are exceptional. Inconnect is also fully certified to ISO 9001 : 2008. For more details of our quality led approach please visit our dedicated QA page.
Inconnect is a highly flexible manufacturer who can cope with both low and high volume requirements, and will work with customers to ensure lead times are minimal. We also hold stock for customers allowing next day and line side deliveries of products as required.

Injection Moulding
This is the simplest type of moulding we carry out; larger volumes are generally produced by our business partner in the Far East and then held in stock in the UK so that our customers get the service levels they would expect from a UK manufacturer. We do however retain the capability to do smaller volumes or more complex moulding in the UK.

Insert Moulding
This is where parts, usually metal tabs or pins, are inserted into mould tools prior to injecting the required plastic. this can be used to produce custom connectors, panel assemblies and for many other applications. We have extensive experience in manufacturing custom designed connectors and interconnection products using insert moulding techniques.
